Seismic Isolators for Sale, Made in Armenia. Negotiations are underway with American, Indian, Iranian, Italian, Nepalese, Russian, and Turkish firms for the sale of seismic isolators (rubber - metal), made in Armenia. Armenia has already sold similar products to Syria and USA. Seismic isolators are manufactured in different countries with different techniques, Armenia being one of them has a better price to offer. Despite the high quality of the product, 4 Armenian specialized plants offer the competitive price of 550 - 750 US dollars for a complete set (60 - 70 sets are needed for a 9 story building). These plants are not ready yet to commercialize their technology. The relatively easy installation of these isolators, reinforces the buildings against earthquakes. Armenia is considered to be a pioneer in the industry of seismic isolators.
  Production and Exportation of Stones. The yearly volume in export of Armenian stones does not exceed the 2-3 million USD. CIS, USA, France, and Austria are the main importers of Armenian stone. The leading factories, in stone processing, like Multy Stone, Karart, ... are relatively new on the international market. Despite an increase of 25-30% in production in recent years, exportation remains weak.
