596,353 USERS CONNECTED TO GAS CONSUMPTION SYSTEM OF ARMENIA AS OF 1 JANUARY 2010

596,353 users were connected to the gas consumption system of Armenia as of 1 January 2010. The number of users grew by 22,398 in 2009, including 3,859 users in December.
According to the press service of ArmRusgazprom company, 243,137 safety alarm devices were installed at apartments of gas users as of January 1, including 17,080 devices installed in December 2009.

ARMROSGAZPROM INVESTMENTS IN ARMENIA FOR 2010-2012 TO COMPRISE AMD 31,81 BILLION

ArmRosGazprom CJSC presented company’s investment program for 2010-2012 to Public Service Regulation Committee.
  Total expenditures over the years 2010-2012 will comprise AMD 31,81 billion, with AMD 7,65 billion allocated to transportation system and AMD 24,16 billion to gas distribution system.
  Founded in 1997, ArmRosGazprom, a subsidiary of Gazprom, supplies gas for the domestic market in Armenia. The company also transports, stores, processes, distributes, and sells natural gas ; and generates electricity, as well as engages in the reconstruction and expansion of the gas transportation system and underground storage facilities system in Armenia. In addition, it manages gas deliveries from the Russian Federation to Armenia, as well as exports to Turkey. Currently, the company’s authorized capital totals AMD 316.6 billion.

ArmRusgazprom submits bid for gas tariff review

ArmRusgazprom CJSC and the company’s Transgas Ltd have submitted a bid for review of gas tariffs to the RA Public Services Regulatory Commission.
The press service of the company reports that in particular, it is proposed that the current tariff of 96 thousand drams (including VAT) per thousand cubic meters of gas sold to consumers (subscribers) consuming up to 10 thousand cubic meters a month should be risen to 136 thousand drams (including VAT).

GAS TARIFFS FOR THE POPULATION OF ARMENIA MAY GROW BY 41,6% AND FOR INDUSTRY - BY 19% BEGINNING FROM 1 APRIL 2010

Because of the expected growth of tariff for import of natural gas to Armenia from the present $154 for 1000 sq/m up to $180 beginning from 1 April 2010, ArmRosgasprom has applied to Public Services Regulatory Commission with suggestion on revising gas tariffs for the consumers of the republic.
  According to the application, the company offers to increase gas tariffs for the consumers which use up to 10 thsd sq/m of gas per month (the population enters this group) by 41,6% - up to 136 000 grams against the present 96 000 for 1000 sq/m of gas per month including VAT.
  For industrial and commercial consumers which use more than 10 thsd sq/m of gas per month the tariff may grow by 19% - from the present $215 for 1000 sq/m of gas up to $256 including VAT.
