Synopsys in Armenia. According to the executive director of "Synopsys Armenia", the company has invested 600 m USD, since 2005, and has established a fruitful cooperation with the Armenian State Engineering University. This co-operation helped to train and create new jobs to the students. The investment is expected to reach 2 billion USD for the coming years. "Synopsys Armenia" has created 30 new vacancies and today employs 351 high qualified specialists. Its objective is to double the number of the specialists within two years. The success of "Synopsys Armenia" in the technology market, is the result of high competence of its employees.

- Training Program of Entreprise Incubator Foundation (EIF). During the last three years, over one thousand participants followed the educational program of EIF (Enterprise Incubator Foundation). 70% of the participants were students, while the rest were professionals seeking up-dating trainings. In view of developing the Information - Technology (IT) sector, and the lack of specialists on the other hand, the EIF opened 10 specialized branches at Armenian universities with the help of international organizations such as Lycos, Intermec, Bremen University.
  Translation of Windows XP in Armenian. The translation of Windows XP into Armenian was done by the BI LINE company and sixty other experts of different IT companies.

  The Participation of Four Companies in Tenders of ArmenTel. OTE (Hellenic Telecom) the 90% shareholder of the ArmenTel shortlisted the following four companies :
  AO Vimpelcom (Russia),
  Mobile Telesystems - MTS - (Russia),
  Emirates Telecommunications Corporation - ITISALAT - : consortium regrouping Istithmar and Swiss Emergent Telecom Ventures (ETV), a sharesholder in Syntorra.
  The consortium of VTEL Holdings and Knightsbridge Associate Company. Initially OTE has received a total of 10 offers.

OTE has bought 90% of ArmenTel - shares at 142 m USD. By the end of March 2006, the company served 600 000 subscribers for ground-telephones and 328 000 subscribers for the mobile phones. The company realized 145.3 m USD profit in 2005.
