Disqualification of Five Insurance CompaniesThe Central Bank of Armenia (BCA) disqualified five insurance companies, because of their non accordance to the regulation requirements in this field (minimal capital, license dues). The concerned companies are : Yerachkhik, Avuar, Goba, Ermed and Inorient. The insurance policy holders will be compensated soon. Today, there are 18 insurance companies operating in Armenia.
  Vivacell Mobile Phone Coverage. Vivacell known as the 2nd operator of mobile phones in Armenia will be completing soon the coverage extension works to the zones bordering Armenia and Azerbaijan.

- OSCE Office in Armenia Region. An agreement was settled between the representative of OSCE and the Armenian Foreign Minister. One of the objectives of this agreement is to reinforce the socio-economic stability to achieve a lasting development. OSCE chose Kapan city (capital of Syunik), to install its offices to continue the development of economic and the environmental projects.

- Legislation Comply with the Reformed constitution. The Council of Europe is ready to help the Armenian government in this delicate task, to accomplish it will necessitate 2 years. Certain reforms should be made in : the judicial legislation, criminal and civil codes, police law, media law and especially the electoral code, essential to organize democratic elections in 2007.

- Armenian Family Budget. According to the recent polls of "A+" website carried out on 365 people : 36% think their budget has reduced despite the positive macroeconomic results during the last five years, as for the 40% think there hasn’t been any changes and only the 18% think the family budget has increased, 6% have no opinion.

- Organization of Russia - Armenia Transportation. According to the Armenian President the regular operation of the ferry-rail linking Tbilissi to Russia, and the railroad connection passing through Abkhazia is an important factor to the development future economic relations of the two countries.
  Turkey - Russia Association ? The Turkish President visited Moscou. 90% of the Turkish exportations are destined to Russia.
  Publication of Armenian "National Export Register" 2006 - 2007. The "National Export Register" 2006 - 2007 will be presented at the "Armenia Expo 2006" exhibition, and at the "Co-operation 2006" Armenian - Russian business forum, which will be held in September. The electronic version of this catalogue will be available too. More than 150 enterprises participated in the creation of this register presenting their productions and the investment projects. Among the subscribers are 200 Chambers of Commerce and Industry and associations of several countries.
  Border Electronic Management. The electronic border surveillance system will be put in service very shortly. This installation will help to control with high efficency the exit and the entry points on the territory, the illegal migration and will improve the struggle against terrorism.

- Electronic Processing System at the City Hall of Yerevan. Yerevan City Hall is operating the electronic document processing system, since 5th of June 2006. The councillors will guide the citizens in their procedures. The system is aimed to simplify administrative operations, and to create a common electronic system with a common database, relating Yerevan city hall to other district city halls. The Armenian autorities hope this innovation will be a positive step to reduce corruption.
