- Armenia, 17th Member of the International Association for Business and Parliamentalism. The objective of the structure is to coordinate the national legislation of the member countries to those of state members of European Union. The Armenian office of the International Association of Business and Parliament (IABP) will be opening in June 2006, and will receive the assistance of the Association’s structure in Great Britain. During the talks, the two parties emphasized the following points :
  the importance of IABP program to promote small and medium enterprises,
  the creation of contacts between Armenian parliamentarians and economic activities,
  assistance to the Armenian parliamentarians concerning economic law and management,
  the establishment of efficient and transparent relations between the deputies and businessmen ; an important factor of prosperity to Armenia. A first experiment of joint educational program was applied in Great Britain, in 1977, through regular meetings between parliamentarians and businessmen. Later, this program was applied to European parliament and 10 other countries. IABP intends to create offices in Moldova, Georgia and Ukraine.

  15th International Bank Congress in Saint Petersburg. The governor of Central Bank of Armenia participated in this congress, held in Saint Petersburg. The main theme was Basle recommendations : different approaches and implementations.
  Business Forum in Switzerland. The Swiss Business Forum was mainly consecrated to investments in emerging regions. The Armenian delegation was headed by the minister of Trade and Economic Development, whose speech on the Armenian economy was highly appreciated. Armenian products were displayed at the exhibition organized within the forum.

- Meeting of the World Union of Armenian Jewellery Makers. During this meeting two important decisions were taken :
  to organize an International Jewellery and Diamond cutting exhibition, in Yerevan, in 2007.
  the transfer, to Yerevan, the head office of the Union, to help Armenia develop relations with world-wide jewellery enterprises.
  Seminar of SME and Sustainable development. The promotion of the Armenian woman in business was the relevant point of this seminar. Although Armenia ahead of other countries by the share of SME in the GDP (40%) still too much effort to be done to develop the promotion of women in the world of business. An exhibition of displayed products by small, medium enterprises was organized within the seminar, with the management of businesswomen only.
  Struggle Against Money Laundering. A seminar was organized end of June, with the participation of the Central Bank of Armenia, the UN office and OSCE responsibles in Yerevan. According to the governor of CBA, the money laundry is a phenomenom in Armenia until now never estimated as a priority problem to the authorities. Therefore, they lack experience in this field and appropriate specialized units. Today, the cooperation between several services ; on national and international levels, has become a necessity.
